Plenary session 2. Democratic institutions.

U. Suleimen

Kazakhstan is implementing successful democratic reforms.

Firstly, Presidents have a single 7-year term.

Show me the countries where there is one presidential term because the Head of State voluntarily gave up the second term?

Secondly, the President's powers over local governors are limited, and the Head of State's quota in Parliament is reduced.

The powers of the Parliament, on the contrary, have been significantly expanded.

That is, Kazakhstan has taken not “cosmetic” but the most serious effective measures to eliminate super-presidential powers.

Thirdly, human rights mechanisms are being developed, and the courts have become more independent. Administrative justice is working.

Fourthly, we in Kazakhstan cannot think of shooting strong opponents, who claim to be the President.

In the United States, for example, there have already been two attempts on the life of the main candidate Trump.

He is being prosecuted, the Justice Department has formally charged Trump with interfering in the Presidential election.

The Capitol storming case has been under investigation for over 4 years, but Trump's guilt has never been proven.

I'm silent on the presumption of innocence, there are no effective convictions, but all the media holds Trump responsible for the coup attempt.
