On February 2, the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a discussion platform on the issue of developing approaches for the further development of civil society in the country, Kazinform agency reports with reference to the press service of the department.
The event was attended by employees of the Ministry, members of Parliament, representatives of the non-governmental sector and others.
Vice Minister of Culture and Information Daniyar Kadirov noted that the Head of State notes the importance of developing a process of conscious and constructive partnership between the state and society.
- The concept of civil society development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is the main document defining the vector of development of the third sector, was adopted on August 27, 2020. Taking into account global changes in the country and the world, there is a need to update and amend the Concept," stressed Daniyar Kadirov.
Proposals to change the current Concept, improve legislation, mechanisms for financing NGOs and interaction with civil society institutions were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Ministry reported that the acceptance of proposals on updating the Concept of development of Civil society of the Republic of Kazakhstan has begun.
Proposals must be sent by March 30 this year to the following e-mail addresses: a.kushkimbaev@mki.gov.kz , a.alzhaparova@kipd.kz , r.elyubaev@kipd.kz .
As previously reported, the pool of non-governmental organizations receiving grant support from the state has grown by almost 25% in Kazakhstan over the past four years.
