A new committee was proposed to be created in Kazakhstan.

A new committee was proposed to be created in Kazakhstan. Gaukhar Tanasheva made a corresponding deputy request, the correspondent reports Tengrinews.kz .

In a parliamentary request addressed to Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the deputy raised problems with the demography of Kazakhstan.

"In 32 years, the population of Kazakhstan has grown by only four million, while the population of neighboring Uzbekistan has increased by 15 million over this period. Our population is small, the density is low, we occupy the 184th place in the world - 7 people per 100 hectares of land," the deputy of the Mazhilis listed.

According to Tanasheva, demographic problems are being solved with a natural increase in population and an increase in migration. In order to ensure natural growth, it is necessary first of all to support families.

"Today, the only state body dealing with family policy issues in the country is the Committee on Youth and Family Affairs under the Ministry of Culture and Information. There are only 4 people working in the family policy department, and there are no representatives of the committee in the regions.

Given the positive dynamics of demographic growth in Uzbekistan, in order to improve the welfare of families, we recommend adopting the experience of creating the State Committee for Family Affairs, Women, Children and Demographic Policy under the government of this country," the deputy said.

It is expected that the main task of this committee will be to coordinate the activities of state bodies and organizations, as well as ensure effective protection of the rights of mothers and children, and contribute to improving the living conditions of families.
