Cases

In the cases of violence against Bishimbayev, Mamash, Aitenov, which caused public outcry, they all received the punishment they deserved.

Bishimbayev was sentenced to 24 years' imprisonment. At the same time, the trial in this case was held as openly as possible and was broadcasted online. This is an unprecedented practice.

Mamash for causing minor harm to health was brought to administrative responsibility (under the law in force at that time) in the form of arrest for 15 days.

Aitenov is already under the new law for battery brought to criminal responsibility in the form of arrest for 12 days.

Of course, Kazakhstan is not limited to punishment, work is also carried out on prevention.

A pilot project on psychological work with aggressors is being implemented.

Its task is to preserve families, reduce the level of domestic crimes, and improve the moral and psychological climate in families.

The project is being implemented in integration with the pilot project of the Canadian “ODARA” Methodology.
